Illegal Movies and Music

Today I was thinking about the illegal downloading and viewing of movies and music online. I sat back and looked at the price of movies these days. If you think about the the average family going to spend a day or night at the theater they are going to spend almost $50. At the average price of $8 per person and $5 for children you are at $26 (for a family of 4) before any refreshments. Tack on the $4 sodas and the popcorn and you are spending a fortune for what? I mean honestly if you wait a few weeks it will cost $6 for a 1-week rental of that same movie. So why do we pay these prices to see a movie in theaters? Well naturally after a few weeks, it is old news and no longer the topic of discussion. The new Dark Knight movie is now ages old and forget about Hancock, or Step Brothers or Wanted or Mamma Mia or sorry kids, all your friends have seen WALL-E already and you are left out. With the economy as tough as it is, who has the money to drop $50 to take your family to see an overpriced movie that frankly isn't worth the annoying cellphone guy or the 8ft tall guy who always seems to sit directly in front of you, always moving around to "adjust." It is no surprise that sites such as (www.tv-links.cc) have been removed due to copyright infrigement. I mean who wouldn't want to watch movies for FREE?! These free sites will never be compeltely removed. As one site goes down, 5 more are created. Now, of course there are pay-per-view sites popping up on the internet but often they are just as bad as going to the theater and give you only a certain amount of viewing time. I have seen sites advertised for 2-hour blocks. Well what happens if I am watching a 2 hour and 15 minute movie? Do I miss the final 15 minutes? In closing, the concept of free movies will never go away. A simple search on google will show many different video sites.

Sites include:
www.watch-movies.net
www.freemediatv.com
and the list continues

* I bear no connection to any illegal movie site and my personal opinions are represented in this blog. All movie names are trademarks of their respective production companies. All information was collected via Google search and can be found with little difficulty.
